Empower Professional Organizing Came to MY House

…and this is what happened!

I met up with Jenn and Brandi at Coffea and instantly felt energy and warmth from this duo. They are sisters and nurses, with a busy family life and passion for animals just like me. They started their company, Empower Professional Organizing, during Covid when they realized that life is short. I so feel that, don’t you? There are a handful of companies in town that I trust 110% and am totally confident in leaving my family/animals/home to. Empower is one of them. They had a client that was out of town so the sisters were stopping by for some cleaning, house sitting, and an organizational touchup. The client messaged them to ask if they wouldn’t mind watering their plants and checking what her furnace was set to while they were there. The answer: absolutely. How good does it feel knowing someone you trust has you back like that in this busy life? We all need a few key people and businesses in town like that to do life with.

As the day approached that the Empower team were coming over to tackle my dungeon… er storage room, I started to get a little nervous. I found myself cleaning for the cleaning people before reminding myself “hey, they are moms, they get it, stop it!” In the past, having people over to help has really worried me with the dogs. What if they get in the way? What if the person isn’t a dog person and accidentally lets them out the front door? That never crossed my mind while Empower was in my home. They’re such animal people. Lastly, I was worried because I was embarrassed. There’s a reason I jokingly call it the dungeon. Things would get pulled out in a hurry and left haphazardly so you had to tip-toe and at times jump over items to get back to the laundry. It was difficult to get at one thing without messing up the whole room. I was frustrated with it and I didn’t use half of it. Moreover my family members were frustrated with me as I could never find any tools, etc when we needed them.

When the team arrived, they efficiently brought all their tools and storage items they’d picked out for my situation down to the basement and dug in. We had a busy day that day too but they cheerfully assured me they had it covered whenever I checked if they wanted help or needed anything. They deep cleaned as they went and were very thorough. This alone made a huge difference and made it feel like a fresh space.

At the end of the day I got the big reveal and it blew me away. Right away, the space felt three times as big. Jenn and Brandi had the genius idea to take off the sticking doors of the awkward closet in the storage room. Both sides of that room had been lined with classy storage shelves. Empower had carefully gone through all of our stuff making sure the same items were grouped together and the totes made sense. Before, I had similar items scattered throughout the basement in various totes and suspicious places. Something I love and appreciate about Empower is that they really take into account your lifestyle. Knowing mine, they made use of some wasted space behind the stairs and created a little home projecting supply nook! It is so much easier to access everything and makes much more sense.

I didn’t expect them to get to the back laundry area so I of course left a giant pile of laundry there. This space was a mix of laundry, garden, and backup crafting space. It was totally unusable. They went through everything, deep cleaning and revamping that space as well! I feel like I can dive in and create again and it also feels a lot bigger and usable again!

Whatever your home/life needs are, the duo-woman powerhouse meets you where you are at. Jenn and Brandi have so many hidden talents and benefits of choosing them. They started with organization. Then it turned into word of mouth cleaning. Now they even do moves. Think wedding planner of moves. Empower packs everything up and organizes and labels the boxes. They book trusted movers for you and coordinate them day-of (let's be honest, movers need a little supervision). Then Empower puts your life back together at your new house with a goal of 6pm on move-in day. Think about how much stress that takes off your plate! Your life doesn’t need to be stuck in transition.
